NT Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 22, 2026. Document version: 1.

1. Scope and contact

NT Tree, Los Angeles, California, operates NT and NT Host. This policy covers information used to provide meetups, guest bookings, social features, host event management, payments, and support. Contact nttreellc@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests. This policy is also available at https://www.nt-tree.com/privacy.html. It applies to both apps; some categories below apply only to hosts or to features you choose to use.

2. Information we handle and why

We collect information you enter in the apps, information created by your activity in NT, information from hosts recording attendance and from people submitting reviews or reports, and information from our sign-in, payment, and delivery providers. Information is connected to your account so that the service can function. We do not use advertising SDKs or advertising identifiers, show ads, sell personal information, or combine your activity with third-party data for targeted advertising. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. Location, photos, calendar, and diagnostics

The NT app asks for location access only while the app is in use. If you allow it and choose the "Near me" area filter, your device coordinates are used for that search and are not stored in your NT profile or in a location history. You can choose a region instead. Displayed distances use approximate event areas rather than hidden exact venues. NT does not track your location in the background. The NT Host app does not use your device location. When a host or member organizer types a venue address, the app looks up that address and stores the venue name, address, and coordinates for the event; this is event information, not a record of your movements. Apple's geocoding service processes these lookups under Apple's terms and privacy practices.

Camera and photo access are used only when you choose to add pictures. The app uploads the images you select; it does not upload your photo library. If you choose Add to Calendar, the NT app writes the event to your calendar; it does not read or upload your existing calendar entries. NT does not collect your contacts, audio recordings, or messages from other apps. You can change device permissions at any time in your device settings.

Crash reporting is not enabled. If we add it, we will update this policy and our App Store privacy labels first. Infrastructure providers may process connection and security information needed to deliver their services.

4. Who can see information

Your profile is visible to other signed-in NT members who have not blocked you and whom you have not blocked. This includes your nickname, age, gender, region, photos, biography, the optional profile details listed above that you choose to fill in, the meetups you are organizing, and your follower and following counts. Your shared free times are visible to members in your area. Your birth date, email address, and bank details are never shown to other members.

The meetups you are joining or have joined are shown only to people you follow each other with, and only if your setting for showing your meetups is on. Invitations can be sent only between people who follow each other. When two people both tap "Meet again" after a meetup, they follow each other automatically and are notified. NT has no private messaging between members.

When you join a meetup, other members can see your nickname, gender, and main photo in its participant list. Unless the host or organizer turns this off, this list is also visible to members who have not joined yet; otherwise it is visible only to participants. Blocking and account restrictions apply to these lists. Hosts and member organizers receive guest nickname, main photo, age at the event, and the booking and attendance information needed to manage their event. Cancellation, removal, or account restrictions can end participant or venue access.

Host profiles, host photos, host levels, event descriptions and permitted event photos, host ratings, and published reviews can be shown to people browsing in the apps. Review authors are labeled as verified attendees rather than by their account names, but review content or event context can identify them. Exact event venues are hidden until booking by default; the host can choose to show them before booking. Do not put a private address in a public title, description, photo, or review.

Authorized NT team members handle reports, disputes, safety decisions, and payment operations. Reports are not public. We do not reveal the reporter's identity to the reported person, but incident details or information needed to investigate may make the reporter identifiable. We may disclose relevant information when required by law or reasonably necessary to respond to legal process, protect people, investigate fraud, or resolve a legal claim. These disclosures are limited to their purpose.

5. Service providers

We use the providers below to run NT. They receive only the information needed for their services. We require them, by contract or through their published data protection terms, to protect personal information with safeguards at least as protective as those described in this policy and to use it only to provide services to us. NT does not give them information for their own advertising.

Information is processed for our US-based service. Our main database and storage are hosted in the United States (US West). Some providers may process information in other locations under their own safeguards.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep active-account information for as long as you have an account and as needed to provide the features you use, secure the service, and manage unresolved bookings, disputes, and payments. You can delete your account in either app from Profile > Delete account, or by emailing nttreellc@gmail.com. New account activity and push registration stop when the deletion request is accepted. Upcoming bookings, reserved credits, unused purchased credits, and unpaid host earnings are addressed through the deletion process; a balance or dispute does not prevent you from submitting the request or automatically erase that balance.

Your personal data is deleted 30 days after the request. The app shows the scheduled deletion date, which is fixed for that request. Your profile, follows, Meet again choices, and shared free times stop being visible to anyone as soon as you request deletion. The deletion process then removes account sign-in data, profile information, photos and stored files, payout bank details, push registrations, and notifications, and removes personal free text from reviews, reports, and disputes. Failed deletion steps are retried; we do not treat an incomplete storage deletion as successful.

Limited transaction and audit records are retained with pseudonymous identifiers for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Pseudonymous does not mean fully anonymous. Contact details, raw bank instructions, and private free text are not intended to be copied indefinitely into these records. Where particular information must be preserved for a legal obligation or an unresolved claim, it requires a documented purpose, restricted access, and an appropriate retention period. Backups and provider logs are deleted on their own regular schedules, so some copies may remain for a limited time after day 30.

You can withdraw consent at any time. You can turn off location, camera, photo, calendar, and notification access in your device settings; unfollow people, turn off the setting for showing your meetups, clear your shared free times, and block people in the app; edit or remove optional profile fields; and delete your account as described above. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened, and some features may stop working without the related information. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, email nttreellc@gmail.com.

8. California privacy rights

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA: to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose and to obtain a copy of it; to request deletion, subject to legal exceptions; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and to exercise these rights without discrimination. Submit requests to nttreellc@gmail.com; account deletion is also available in the app. We will verify your identity using information appropriate to the request, such as confirming control of your account email. An authorized agent may act for you with proof of authorization, subject to verification. We will respond within the legally required time, usually 45 days, and explain any lawful exception or denial. These rights are described by the California Attorney General.

In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as account ID, email, and device push tokens); personal characteristics (such as age, gender, and, if you choose to provide it, religion); commercial information (bookings, credit purchases, and transactions); approximate and, only when you use "Near me," precise geolocation that is not stored; photos and other user content; profile and social activity; financial account information for hosts who request payouts; and inferences used for in-app suggestions. We collect them from the sources and use them for the purposes described in sections 2 and 3, and disclose them for business purposes only to the service providers in section 5 and as described in section 4. We keep them for the periods described in section 6.

NT does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and has not done so in the preceding 12 months. There is therefore no sale or sharing to opt out of. Because we do no advertising tracking, there is nothing for a browser Do Not Track signal or Global Privacy Control preference to turn off.

Some information, such as account login credentials, host bank account information, religion, or device coordinates used for a "Near me" search, can be sensitive personal information under California law. We use it only to provide the services you request, for security, and for other purposes permitted by law, and not to infer characteristics about you. For that reason, the right to limit does not require additional action. See the California Privacy Protection Agency's explanation of sensitive information.

9. Children, security, and policy changes

NT is for adults aged 18 and older, not children. We do not knowingly allow under-18 accounts or collect information from children. If you believe a minor has supplied information, report the account or contact nttreellc@gmail.com and we will investigate and delete the account where appropriate. Alcohol events require participants to be at least 21.

You can edit supported profile fields in the app, ask support to correct restricted fields such as birth date, and change notification preferences. Account-related notification categories remain in the in-app inbox, but NT cannot override your device's push permission. We use encryption, access controls, and other safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

We will identify updates by their effective date and document version and ask you to accept them in the app where required. Before adding materially different data collection or purposes, we will update this policy and our App Store privacy labels and ask for permission where required. Questions or privacy requests: nttreellc@gmail.com.
