NT Terms of Service
Effective date: October 22, 2026. Document version: 1.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
NT and NT Host are operated by NT Tree, Los Angeles, California. Contact: nttreellc@gmail.com. Website: https://www.nt-tree.com. These terms govern your use of both apps. Booking and credit provisions apply to guests; hosts also accept the Host Terms. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. Guests must follow the Community Guidelines, and hosts must follow the conduct requirements in the Host Terms.
NT helps adults find and join small, in-person group meetups. There are two kinds of meetups. Member meetups are created by NT members in the NT app and are always free. Paid events are offered by hosts who were vetted and invited by NT and who use the NT Host app. Our service area is Los Angeles and Orange County, California, within the supported area shown in the app. Amounts are in US dollars. Event schedules use Pacific Time, including daylight saving time where applicable. NT does not promise friendships, matches, attendance levels, or a particular event experience.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 when you join, provide accurate information, and meet the age range and other eligibility rules shown for an event on its date. Events involving alcohol are restricted to people aged 21 or older. NT uses self-reported birth dates; it does not routinely verify government identification or conduct background checks. An account or host invite code is not a guarantee of identity, safety, or professional qualifications.
You can sign in with Sign in with Apple or with an email address and password. Keep your login credentials and email access secure. Do not impersonate others, misstate your age, share an account to evade restrictions, or misuse promotional offers. A guest account and a host account are separate. Tell support promptly if someone else has accessed your account. A completed profile and at least one eligible profile photo are required to book.
3. Booking and event information
Review the event description, price, age eligibility, available slots, cancellation deadline, and any stated participation requirements before confirming. A quote or checkout screen does not reserve a seat; your booking must be confirmed in the app. Hosts can close booking before an event. Closing booking does not cancel existing confirmed reservations.
Exact venues are hidden until booking by default, but a host may make the venue visible before booking. Before booking, members see participant counts and, unless the host or organizer turns this off, the nicknames, gender, and main photos of people who are joining. After booking, participants can see the other participants' nicknames, gender, and main photos. Blocking and account restrictions apply to these lists. The host or organizer sees the information needed to manage the event, including guest nickname, main photo, age at the event, booking, and attendance information. Access may end after cancellation or removal.
Member meetups are free and do not use credits. The member who creates a member meetup is its organizer and must describe it accurately, choose a lawful and suitable public place, and follow the Community Guidelines. NT does not vet member organizers or supervise member meetups. Member organizers do not receive payments through NT and may not ask participants to pay them off the platform.
NT also offers social features: you can follow other members, invite friends you follow each other with to a meetup, tap "Meet again" for people you met at a meetup (if both of you tap it, you follow each other automatically), see a daily "Today's person" suggestion, and share the times you are free so that members in your area can find meetups together. NT does not offer private messaging between members.
4. Purchased and welcome credits
Credits are prepaid credits for booking seats at real, in-person events through NT only. One credit costs $1.00. Credits pay for a service that is provided and used in person, outside the app. They cannot be used to buy digital content, app features, advertising, or any other digital goods or benefits. Purchased credits do not expire.
Credit purchasing is not available yet. When purchasing is available, current packs and their full prices are shown before payment; current pack sizes are 10, 25, 50, and 100 credits. Payments are made through Stripe Checkout, which opens in a secure browser window, and Stripe processes the card payment. Credits are added after payment is confirmed, which may not be immediate.
Welcome credits are promotional credits, not purchased funds. The current offer is 20 credits per eligible account, once, while an active campaign has budget available. Current welcome credits expire 90 days after issue; the actual grant and expiry date shown in your wallet control. The offer may change or end for future grants. Do not rely on receiving a bonus until it appears in your wallet.
Booking reserves credits. Available promotional credits are used before purchased credits. A promotional credit already reserved for a booking remains applied to that booking when its original expiry date passes. If that booking later qualifies for a return, expired promotional credits do not become spendable again.
5. Cancellation, credit returns, and refunds
The current free-cancellation period ends 24 hours before the event starts. Your actual cancellation deadline and applicable period are shown in the app before you book and in your booking details. Cancelling at or before that deadline returns the full reserved booking amount to its original credit sources. Cancelling after the deadline releases your seat but puts the reserved amount into pending forfeiture; it is finalized through event settlement. Self-service cancellation is available before the event starts. Contact support about problems after it starts.
A host cancellation or host removal returns the full reserved booking amount, including a late-cancellation amount still pending forfeiture when the host cancels. Purchased credits return as purchased credits. Promotional credits retain their original expiry: any portion already expired is not reusable. The app distinguishes reusable credits from expired promotional credits. Removal also prevents future bookings with that host unless support clears that restriction.
These event returns are wallet credits, not automatic refunds to your card. Unused purchased credits are not ordinarily refundable for cash under NT's policy, but NT will provide refunds or cash redemption where required by applicable law. Purchased balances do not automatically expire or disappear when you request account deletion. Contact nttreellc@gmail.com for legally required refunds, redemption, or unresolved payment issues. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
6. Attendance and event disputes
Hosts record attendance. They may mark a no-show only after the event ends. A no-show can lead to forfeiture of reserved credits after the dispute period and settlement review. Unmarked attendance is not automatically treated as attendance; currently, events still awaiting attendance completion 48 hours after their end are referred for operational review.
If the host does not appear, an event is cancelled on site, you are incorrectly marked absent, or an event is unsafe or misrepresented, use the booking's dispute action when available. Disputes can be submitted after the event starts and before settlement, up to the displayed deadline: currently 72 hours after the host or NT marks the event completed, rather than simply 72 hours after its scheduled end. Open disputes block settlement of the event. NT reviews the available information and may return the booking credits or allow settlement. A general safety report is separate from a booking dispute and does not itself trigger a refund. Contact support if an in-app deadline has passed; statutory rights remain available.
7. Conduct, content, and safety
NT has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Use NT lawfully and respectfully. Do not harass, threaten, bully, discriminate unlawfully, defraud, exploit minors, post sexual, violent, or hateful content, or seek off-platform payment to bypass booking. Do not publish another person's private information or use event information to stalk, spam, or contact someone against their wishes.
You can report a profile, event, review, or other concern from the app, and you can block any member or host. Blocking hides you and the blocked person from each other's profiles, suggestions, and meetups. The NT team reviews every report and acts on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours, by removing the content and, where appropriate, suspending or permanently removing the user who posted it. You can also report concerns to nttreellc@gmail.com. For an immediate emergency, contact emergency services.
You retain ownership of your content. You permit NT to store, display, and process the content you submit as needed to operate the service, show permitted profile, event, and review content, and investigate reports, subject to the Privacy Policy. Submit only content you are entitled to use. Photos may become visible immediately after upload and may be removed after review. Publication is not a statement that NT has checked or endorsed the photo. Reviewers are displayed as verified attendees rather than by their account names, but an event or review's wording may identify its author.
8. Restrictions, termination, and account deletion
NT may remove content, or suspend or close an account, for safety concerns, fraud, objectionable content, abusive behavior, or serious or repeated violations of these terms, at its discretion. Payment disputes or reversals may place new purchases and bookings on hold while NT reconciles the payment. Contact support to request a review of an action. Restrictions do not automatically erase existing balances or eliminate applicable refund rights. You may stop using NT at any time.
You can delete your account in the app from Profile > Delete account. The app shows upcoming reservations, balances, disputes, and host amounts still requiring attention. New activity is blocked once you request deletion; outstanding bookings and financial obligations still need resolution. Guest bookings affected by a deletion request are handled under the applicable cancellation rules. Your personal information is deleted 30 days after the request, with the limited retention described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Assumption of risk, disclaimers, and limitation of liability
Meetups take place in person, in public and private places that NT does not own or control. Meeting new people carries risks, including risks of injury, property loss, and conduct by other people. You choose which meetups to join and you accept these risks. Read the event information, use your judgment, meet in public places, arrange your own transportation, and leave any situation that feels unsafe. Hosts and member organizers are independent and are not NT's employees or agents. NT does not conduct background checks and is not responsible for the conduct of members, hosts, or venues.
To the extent permitted by law, NT is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, NT Tree is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, and NT Tree's total liability for any claim relating to NT is limited to the greater of the amount you paid NT in the 12 months before the claim arose or $100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud, and they do not limit rights you have under California law that cannot be waived.
10. Changes, questions, and legal disputes
Current settings-based amounts and time periods can change prospectively. Existing bookings, event fees and dispute periods, issued promotional expiry dates, and accepted deletion dates retain the terms recorded for them. Review the app's current disclosures before each transaction. We may update these terms. Material changes will be identified by a new version and effective date, and the app will ask you to accept the updated documents before you continue. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using NT and delete your account.
California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules and subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. You may contact nttreellc@gmail.com to try to resolve a concern, but doing so is not a prerequisite to exercising legal rights. There is no mandatory arbitration agreement. An eligible claim may be brought in small-claims court. Otherwise, disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts serving Los Angeles County, California, except where applicable law permits or requires another venue. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Nothing here waives rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
